La candidata del partido Comunista, Jeannette Jara ganó las primarias del oficialismo.
En una jornada clave para el oficialismo, Jeannette Jara se impuso con holgura en las primarias presidenciales de “Unidad para Chile”, obteniendo cerca del 60% de las preferencias. La exministra del Trabajo y militante del Partido Comunista logró una victoria clara frente a sus contendores, consolidándose como la carta presidencial del bloque de cara a las elecciones de noviembre.
El amplio respaldo a Jara refuerza el peso del PC dentro del pacto oficialista y abre un nuevo escenario para la centroizquierda, que ahora deberá alinearse en torno a su liderazgo para enfrentar el desafío de la elección general.
La ya candidata competirá en noviembre con José Antonio Kast, Evelyn Matthei, Johannes Kaiser y Franco Parisi entre otros.
